Use your imagination! Create anything that you feel fits this year’s theme: Dear Family
Create a work of art that displays what family means to youWhat are the Artwork Specification(size)?
We are only accepting 2D works this year created on paper or canvas. No 3D work will be accepted or considered for entry.
Works on paper : 18in x 24in
Works on canvas : 16in x 20in
You may submit up to 2 artworks.
May I Receive Help on my Artwork?
Although you may receive advice or guidance from others, only the artist can physically touch the artwork. If we suspect someone else helped to create it, you may be disqualified from the contest.
Are There Any Prizes?
Yes! Our first place 2024 Very Special Art Contest winner will be given a $500 scholarship!
We will also be awarding the top ten submissions with trophies!
Everyone will receive recognition for their artwork on CIDA’s Very Special Art Festival Website.
What will Happen to my Artwork?
Selected artworks will have the opportunity to be displayed at St. John’s University at the Very Special Art Festival Ceremony. Date and further details to come.
All artwork will be returned to the artist upon completion of the contest.
